Domestic Violence Awareness
HOW CAN A CAMERA ATTACHMENT
HELP PROSECUTE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE OFFENDERS
AND POSSIBLY SAVE LIVES?

One of the most deadly forms of domestic abuse is strangulation. It's also one of the hardest to see. But special camera equipment, using infrared and UV technology, can detect and document strangulation and other bruising with excellent clarity.

The LWVGT Gun Violence Prevention Team is gathering donations to purchase this equipment for the Tucson Police Department. This will help TPD document critical evidence in DV (Domestic Violence) and other criminal cases.

You can help. We are less than $1,000 from meeting our goal--please consider donating today! Donations can be made online, or checks can be made out to Emerge Center Against Domestic Abuse. Your donation is tax deductible.

The membership will approve the 2025-2026 LWVGT Budget at the Annual Meeting. Because dues are now being paid directly to LWVUS, our local league is receiving a smaller portion of the dues we pay. As a result, the proposed budget is much smaller than it has been in the past. Join us for this Information Session and get all your questions answered.

LWVGT 2025 - 2026 Bylaws Information Session
Tuesday, April 15

The membership will approve changes to the 2025-2026 LWVGT Bylaws at the Annual Meeting. One significant issue is whether or not to approve changing the name of our league from League of Women Voters of Greater Tucson to League of Women Voters of Southern Arizona, to take effect in 2026-2027. Join us on Zoom and get your questions answered.
